The ICC Cricket World Cup League 2, spanning from 2019 to 2023, is a cricket tournament that forms part of the qualification process for the 2023 Cricket World Cup. All matches in the tournament are played as One Day Internationals (ODIs) and take place as tri-series fixtures.
The competition consists of Scotland, Nepal, and the United Arab Emirates, alongside the top four teams from the 2019 ICC World Cricket League Division Two tournament. The first round took place in Aberdeen, Scotland, in August 2019.
The top three teams from the tournament will advance to the 2023 Cricket World Cup Qualifier, while the bottom four teams will participate in the 2023 ICC Cricket World Cup Qualifier Play-off.
Initially, it was planned that the top-ranked team in this tournament would be promoted to the 2020–2023 ICC Cricket World Cup Super League at the expense of the 13th-ranked team, provided the League 2 team finished as the higher of the two in the 2023 Cricket World Cup Qualifier. However, the ICC announced in November 2021 that there would not be a second edition of the Super League.
At the end of the competition, one or both of the bottom two teams will be relegated to the next Cricket World Cup Challenge League if they are outperformed by a top-ranked team from the 2019–2022 ICC Cricket World Cup Challenge Leagues A or B during the 2022 ICC Cricket World Cup Qualifier Play-off. The two teams ranked higher in the Qualifier Play-off will advance to the next League 2, while the two teams ranked lower will play in the next Challenge League.
On February 15, 2023, Scotland secured first place in the league with a 10-wicket win against Namibia. They were awarded the trophy at the end of round 19 of the tournament in Kirtipur.
